Since there are quite a few of us who didn't get tickets to the Hall of Fame Dinner, Friday Night there has been mention of us setting a 'renegade' dinner for those of us who still want to gather with a pony group but can't go to the other dinner.

So far the plan is
T.G.I. Friday's
around 6 pm.

I've called TGIF and they know we are coming.
Menu is http://www.tgifridays.com/greatfood

So how many people would be interested in a group dinner on Friday Night?

Renegade Dinner List
1. Ivy
2. Rhaegar + 2
5. Lady Satine
6. Midnight_Dream
7. Dancing Phoenix +3
11. Lunar_scythe
12. Dewprincess
13. Sandra
14. NoDivision +1
15. Sailorstich +1
18. Lady Starflower
19. Moondancer1073
20. Babylofty
21. Sugarberry +1
23. Fairydust +1
25. Clipper +1
27. BarbedDragon +3
31. Baby Posey +1

so far 32 people. your thinking of joining us let us know.

Those of you attending Clipper's Pre-meet are welcome to come join us if you aren't going to the Hall of Fame Dinner.

The TGIF is not in the mall itself but in within walking distance.

The plan is for those going to the pre-meet - we will head out around 5:45 from Starbucks at the mall to go to the restaurant. Those who are not attending the pre-meet can choose to meet us around 5:40 at Starbucks and walk over with us as a group -Or- Can meet us at the restaurant.

Hi Ivy,

We might be interested but we are also on the waiting list for tickets to the Hall of Fame dinner.  Did I read somewhere that there is a Cheesecake Factory there too?

We have one near us in King of Prussia and the menu makes my head spin every time with all the choices!

Yeah might be worth waiting just a little while longer on the slim hope that those of us on the waiting list will get a place. I'm not fussy about where we go though (in fact... I've never heard of any of those places apart from TGI :D) and I would love to bring my mum along if something gets organised!

Yeah there is a Cheesecake factory too -and yeah I know that it's a little early -but I remember from past dinners just how hard it is to decided on a restaurant - so thought I'd get some idea's started.

It's pretty helpful that the fair is connected to a mall this year for some options. Maybe even a shopping trip :)

I already looked at the mall directory online and saw that they have a Vera Bradley Signature Store :D. Any other Vera fans?

:good:

I think T.G.I Friday's might be the cheapest nice restaurant out of that list, but I've never been to Sullivan's Steakhouse or El Torito Grill. I love TGIF's Pink Punk Cosmo! So delish! <3 I'm definitely up for this if I can make it in time! :)

Count myself and my friend in (might be two friends, depends on if the other can go)! I am such a huge fan of the Cheesecake Factory, but it's really expensive. So maybe we can muster the T.G.I. Friday's and possibly hit the Cheesecake Factory for dessert? You can share the cheesecake too, it's very filling.

I have gone to that TGI Fridays with a group of about 20 before and they handled us well, so that might be a good option.  Maggianos is delicious, but a little more expensive. There is also a benihana right across from the hotel.  The next shopping center down has an Unos, Chillis, don pablos, and a nice mongolian grill place.  (Also a really nice, cheap taiwanese place called Taiwan Teahouse, though it is tiny. But I really really really recommend this place for dinner on other nights for a not so large group. They have excellent boba :D )

Basically there are a lot of options nearby. I've done large groups at that cheesecake factory, that TGI Fridays, and that P.F. Changs.

Benihana? Oh good lord that now has my vote. I LOVE Benihana! They do large groups pretty well too if I am remembering correctly. 8-10 people per table, facing the cook so I think it would be pretty easy to see everyone and talk to everyone. Pretty much all this food sounds good to me though XD

Benihana's would be fun, but I'm not sure if the menu has enough variety for picky eaters. Same with PF Changs (although I LOVE the place). Some people just may not like Chinese food.  And past dinners, we've had as many as 30-40 people in the group!

Sullivan's is MEGA-expensive.   I love Maggiano's but it's also pretty pricey. You get enough food to last you a week because most portions are family-sized, but it's expensive.

I think TGIFridays would work well if they'll set aside enough tables for a group our size.

Cheesecake Factory is popular and has a huge menu,  but is a little more expensive than TGIF.

No Division, are you sure there's an Uno's nearby? Their site only mentions the one on Southport Road. If there is an Uno's close to Keystone, that would be a GREAT choice! Their menu is large, like Cheesecake Factory, and has a variety of food types. Very good food, large place, awesome pizzas, and I'd say ranks in a price range between Fridays and Cheesecake.

It's definitely not too early to pick a few places to research.  Someone should call and find out what they can do for large groups. Sometimes they have a preset menu, or want you to pay on one ticket. Some places will allow you to make reservations and others won't.

If I don't get in on the Hall of Fame dinner, count me in wherever it is   :)

Oh boo, I guess that Uno's closed. There used to be one on the other side of the bridge, but I haven't been up there in a while.

Champps is good too! I'd say prices are on par with Cheesecake Factory.  A little pricey, but affordable and the food is worth it.
