I not sure what Liquid masking to use for ponies. I'm worried that I might get one that doesn't come off, or comes off and then takes the eye paint with it, or stains it an odd color that will seep through new paint.

I will be buying from Hobby Lobby, I've never been in it but these two come up as options for sale there

Yes! Well, I've used regular frisket, and its "okay" for pony stuff- basically I use it if I want to airbrush something really big, and I've only used it on posterboard, as it doesn't seem to do much for the 3d fun of a pony.

On the other hand, instead of liquid frisket, you know what works great? rubber cement. I'm still no expert with it but so far its pretty fun to work with!

I remember someone mentioning the rubber cement, my concern would be putting it on a pony that had a FBR and it taking off the base paint.... like say you want to do stars in one color that is not the pony's normal base color and airbrush a patch of color on the pony for those stars, put the rubber cement on in a star pattern, then airbrush the FBR.... would you have to not let the RC dry fully for that to work???

I wasn't sure if it was the same thing.  In that case, I use Windsor & Newton Colourless Masking Fluid.  I get it at my local ArtMart for around $14 for 75 ml.  I'm not sure if they carry it at HL though.  It works like a dream.  Good luck!

Is the Incredible White Mask stuff in a white bottle with a blue label?  That's what I get from HL and it works wonders.

One note though, when that stuff gets old it smells VILE.  OMG, I mean VILE.
