Between the current quality of the brushables and the quality of the other pony products, I'm just not buying the G4 line right now. It's quite sad, but I'm happier with the ones I have from the start of the line and I daren't risk selling on some of them for fear that I'll never get anything of better quality.

Oh well, Hasbro is trying to keep up with the huge, huge demand that is going to get them a ton of money for the holidays, quality was bound to sink sometime.

Do you guys think they've found a way to make ponies in a cheaper way for them, also giving us cheap quality?  That seems to be what's happening.  I know they're a business after all.

Toysrus was great for the second exchange.

When it comes to quality I might be alone but I always figure they push those people(the people who are making our toys) so much that we should expect a damaged product occasionally.

I think it comes down to the fact that Hasbro clearly want to keep the single ponies in the "very affordable" price bracket. $5 is the kind of price that makes the item an easy impulse purchase. Its a depressing equation - no matter the price point the manufacturer will still try to keep the net profit per item around the same percentage. And if the price is low, that means production needs to cost less - hence the cheap ponies = cheap production.

Glad to hear you're getting a replacement, hope they send her soon. Keep us updated.  :)

Yes, I think the quality has dropped considerably in the last few months. I've had pretty good luck when it comes to ponies aside from poor Rarity, but I've been finding more and more dents and bruises on my most recent purchases. They must be trying to meet demand (especially with the holidays around the corner), and like Hathorcat said, keep them affordable at the same time. It's frustrating, but all we can really do is tell Hasbro and return the items.
