LOL! That's amazing! I wouldn't really call it a crazy face either, heh, but I love the humor of the joke. I don't really see it as an attack on G3 fans (or old pony fans in general). It's more like MLP making fun of itself...just for the laughs. Is it bad that a part of me would love to see them have like at least one "scene/segement" in an episode where the main cast got "past gen'd" (maybe even as an IRL April Fool's prank of sorts)? Like, maybe one of Twilight's spells went wrong and they got turned into a past gen look for a few moments. Like Applejack getting G1'd, Rarirty and Pinkie Pie getting G3'd, ect.?

I thought she looked really cute. If the characters in the show looked like that, I'd be okay with it. I hope they weren't trying to make fun of people who liked previous generations, because their target audience might have watched some, too.

I think they were just referencing that Pinkie Pie used to be the queen of ponies in G3 and G3.5, but now has taken a back seat to Twilight Sparkle in G4.  It was awesome!

I was watching the show livestream from MLPForums1 and the bronies all went ballistic when they saw it.  They said watching the LPS premier was worth it JUST to see that commercial. Of course, they were all creeped out and mistook it for G1, but they kept wanting to see it again. Within about 10 minutes, the chat was flooded with screen grabs of the commercial.  That and Gak... They do love their Gak.
