I would be reasonably certain he will be called Time Turner or something similar to be honest. Calling him Dr Hooves will run them into all manner of different problems. Dr Who is an intellectual/creative product that the BBC protect almost possessively.

Hasbro registered him as Dr Hooves/Doctor Hooves, as they were able to pass legal by leaving out the W in Whooves.

Frankly I thought they were going to do Dr Hooves and DJ Pon-3!

Last I heard they were not able to register that name and it doesn't show up as a name registered as a trademark...do you know when it was done? I am impressed and surprised they managed to agree it without the potential claims of infringement.

I'm also really glad that they're releasing one mane six character with one background character. Not only do we get more show-accurate versions of the mane six, we also get characters that might not otherwise be made into toys. The best of both worlds!

I really like that they're going to be making more of these, but does the box really have to say "vinyl collectible"? I hate it when a toy says it's "collectible" or "collector's edition" on the box.
