I ordered the first day and I think it`s kinda funny we all used the coupon codes I wonder what the people who run hot topic think about it? Maybe the mark up is soo high they don`t care or maybe they can`t stop thinking about how much moola they lost.
 I am hoping I get TimeTurner/Dr.Whooves solid with a green tie and Clear Fluttershy because there are so many regular Flutershy`s available.

they're from hot topic cash.  It's a promotion they run from time to time.  Your supposed to get the codes for spending x amount but the codes are always the same.

They're Hot Cash codes. It's supposed to work that you can only use them if you purchased something in the weeks before and earned the Hot Cash towards a future purchase....... but for whatever reason it lets anyone use any code on their orders. At least this time around.

I really don't think they care one way or the other.  It's just a gimich to get people to spend more.   As far as I know the codes have always worked like they do.

Well I know hot topic is making a decent amount of money. I ordered 2 of each and if it wasn't for the codes would have ordered only 1 total. Because of the codes I ordered a set for home and another set for my office.

The codes also encouraged me to look around the site and I picked out a few things for my daughter. I would not have ordered or looked without the codes.

It's actually just speculation at this point that there are red and green tie versions of the clear Dr. Whooves, I think. The Hot Topic website says nothing about it and both known pics of him have a red tie. So while it may be true we shouldn't take it as fact quite yet.

The mark up will be a lot. In 2008 it cost Hasbro approximately $0.08 to make one pony, so it won't have gone up much higher than that for smaller ponies with no hair and no accessories.

the clear doctor and flutter shy are there.    Such a bargain with the promo codes.  Hot topic have some great sales. I wish the non-clear ones would go back while the sale is still there, but I'm sure they'll be there eventually.

Re-read the pages. Those are the non-clear (and 1/24 chance at clear) versions. They show pictures for both kinds and you randomly get one or the other type.

oh right you are.  I thought that's what they were doing, but then it was described as variant and I didn't want to take too long to order in case they disappeared.  I really hope they're in displayable boxes (even if they are inside another box first) as I hate taking ponies out of their box, especially these guys with their poor paint work.

I also wonder if it will be easy to see what they are in person... I want both kinds, but I'm not going to just keep buying them over and over until I get the ones I want.
