6:30am MLP yardsale extravaganza

So along with being addicted to MLP I am a bit addicted to yard sales to find any type of 80's toys and ponies of course. I don't get the paper so I have 5 sites bookmarked to check the online garage sale listings. 1 of those sites I don't usually use as I tend to stay on this side of the river but for some reason I checked that site this week and found a listing when I searched for "ponies". The listing had antiques, vintage linens, trains and other antique type things listed and then at the very end just "ponies". I was thinking maybe horse figurines or something but I had to check it out. Most yard sales start at 8am so 6:30 am on a Saturday morning wasn't sounding very great to this night owl but I am SO GLAD I got up early to check it out!

I parked out front and the sign pointed to the back yard 'cause the sale was in the garage. I walked around and as soon as I could see into the garage I started scanning and all I saw was the top of the Show Stable and my spirits kinda sank as I have passed up a number of Show Stables at yard sales before since they are so common. I went around the tables though so I could get a better look and maybe see if there were ponies inside the stable and as soon as I got to the middle of the garage and saw what was on the floor below the stable I was like

 

There was a HUGE overflowing basket of ponies with the Dream Castle, Pretty Parlor, Perfume Shop and even G2 stuff, plus a box of accessories and combs all sitting on the floor around it. I had only $14 in my purse so I knew there was going to be a run to the ATM involved here in a serious way! The ponies were in gallon baggies with 6-7 ponies per bag so at first I started holding each bag turning it over in my hands to see which ponies were in it thinking that maybe I will buy the bags with any harder to find ponies, only for a split second though, then I just started counting bags and adding up costs and figuring out how much the total would be for everything. I asked if I could buy everything together and where the nearest ATM was and 10 minutes later I was the proud owner of all this!

I didn't get to go through all of the ponies until LATE Saturday night as I got home from the sale and then hubby and I went out to other yard sales and driving around the rest of the day.

All dumped out. There were 6-7 ponies per bag for a total of 167 ponies. Plus 1 fakie and a Fairy Tail bird

Many people have asked about certain ponies already and yep, I am going to sell spares after I go through and do any upgrading in my own collection. I do have baby Princess Sparkle so I will have a spare one (probably the one from my collection) so I will contact you in a few days if you like and send pics of whichever I am going to sell. I'm making a list right now of which people want what ponies and will get back to them this week.

Well, I added up with their prices how much everything would be total and it came to $161.50. I didn't do too much bargaining down since that is a fined price already but I did ask if they would take $150 if I bought everything together and they said that sounded great.
