Hi everyone!
The Arena has been hit with a huge influx of members in the recent months and we are finding it hard to keep up!
So many new names & faces have been hitting the forums and unfortunately, we're finding that a majority of the newer members are ignoring our rules, or disregarding them as "too harsh".
We're also having inappropriate content being brought to the Arena from other places where it might be okay, but is totally wrong here.

As such, we are putting a new program in place.
All new members will be restricted to a certain amount of posts a day, until they hit 50 posts.
They will also be restricted from using the Shout Block until they hit 100 posts.

A: Yes, yes we are.

Q: Seriously though, why now?
A: To be honest, the amount of moderating we are now doing, for the basic rules, is astonishing.
Common courtesy has leapt out the window, spamming is common, swearing is everywhere and what I believe is most gauling, is the abuse my mods are having to endure.

Q: How is this going to impact me?
A: Hopefully it will get our newer members used to the community before jumping in the deep end.
Fingers crossed this will encourage our older members to post more frequently.

Honestly, this is not going to change a lot of things for people.

Edit:  Nevermind, I am going to guess you guys are currently tinkering with it so the new shoutbox rule will be enforceable.   Ignore me panicking in the corner!

Aww thats sad that people were being crude. Sometimes actions are needed to keep a place sweet, kind, and awsome like the arena is truely suppose to be. I do have enoth post so did you guys remove the shoutbox totally?

People were being disrespectful to the mods, admin and the rest of the staff?? It wasn't like this before. >,<; Who does that?!

I'm glad you guys are putting your foot down. Hopefully, people will see that acting that way new to the place or not is unacceptable and Common Courtesy will make a return.

   I always imagined the folks on this site to be like the ponies they collect and love. Kind, sweet, nice and all that good stuff. I am very glad you mods are putting your hoofs down. (oh and this is off topic but every time I type mod I think of the mods in the sixties. )

It's a shame these things have to be put in place and that people can't all be respectful. Please can you tell me what the post limit will be until users are at 50?

It's at 5 posts per day at this time. We'll see how that works for now.
