Ebay seller sent MOCs crammed into a tiny box. :'(
« on: September 07, 2012, 11:29:57 PM »
I'm not sure what to do.

I bought a lot of two moc G2s on ebay, and since I don't live in the US I had them sent to my friend Brightglowpony. She received them the other day and was shocked to find them bent in half and stuffed into a small box.  They were so bad that she had trouble getting them out of the box.  They definitely weren't like that when I bought them so the seller has damaged them.

Here's the auction link and pictures of the damage.  :(

What should I do? Do I contact the seller tell her what she did is not okay, and ask for a partial refund? Leave negative or neutral feedback? Open a case with paypal?

I'm really not sure what to do and I am a bit gutted :( I wanted moc golden light and the cute twins so bad.

i would contact the seller first,
explain the issue you have with the items. send pics etc.
and see what the seller is willing to do, then go from there.

From what I could see from their feedback, they generally deal in vintage / collectable toys, so they should simply know better in the first place.

I would defnately message them, and explain when you purchased a "new" item, you expected it to turn up in "new" condition, not with damaged packaging due to the shipping method chosen. I would ask for a partial refund, or, a full refund if they are not willing to go with partial and send them back.

That is so sad to see :/

First I am so sorry, that is absolutely horrible!

I honestly can't believe that they crammed them into a box like that

I would email them and explain that this is not acceptable. And that you bought a MOC item and they have decreased the value drastically by shoving them in a box and bending/ruining the cards.  Then you can ask what they feel will be an acceptable solution, as in a partial or if you can return them. I would remain as polite as you can, as I would be livid at this point but politeness gets you further.  Also like others have mentioned sending pictures might also be a good idea although I am pretty sure they are going to realize what they did right off the bat.

Please keep us posted on the outcome!

Totally. Always get in contact first before leaving a neg/neutral feedback!
Maybe they have no idea about it and might be willing to solve the problem :) i sure hope so!

Oh no! I can't believe they did that! I had been thinking about buying something from them. Now I am glad I didn't. What a nightmare, and they ruined those nice MOC ponies.

Let us know how it goes, and hopefully the seller won't have any attitude with you.  If they do, please let us know so others can avoid having wonderful MOC items ruined!  :(

Ugh it makes me sick that a seller would do that!  That's like... most of the point of a MOC!

Yikes! I've had this happen with a G2 MOC before as well, but certainly not damage to that extent! I hope your seller is ok to work with to get this sorted :(

OMG!
I can't believe that the seller crammed them into that box!
I would contact the seller to see what he'll offer.

Keep us updated!!

It's always unbelievable how stupid sellers can be..
It happened to me 2 times that someone send a G1 Moc only in a simple large envelope without any bubble wrapping or anything else...I would never sent any Moc (anyway which Generation) in a standart envelope...  :|

What the...!? How could that seller do that?! They would have to be completely oblivious to not know that vintage items still in their packaging lose value when the packaging is damaged! Ugh.
Thank you Thimble for my amazingly cute avatar!

. . .maybe we should feel bad for the seller. Clearly s/he is too stupid to be able to function very well in life.
I'll put something here some time

I couldn't state this any better.  What a real crappy thing to do to MOC toys.
