UK alternative to Magic Erasers?
« on: August 23, 2012, 11:15:07 AM »
Hi guys!

Just wondering if there is something like Magic Erasers in the UK? I know Lakeland sell them, and I've heard that Poundland sell something similar but I haven't been able to find them. Is there anything else available?

Thanks!

Try 99p stores too. But keep looking in Lakeland because they seem to have a ton every time I go in, they are 4.99 maybe ask a member of staff where they are because they move things around in there quite a bit.

My Poundland has tons, do you want me to pick you some up?

Tempting but if they're in your Poundland, they should be knocking around mine too! What do they look like so I can keep a better eye out?

Looks like this:

It's about 6 inches high and 4 inches wide. It was next to the toilet rolls, bleach, washing liquid etc.

And I have seen the Dr Power ones in Asda but I think they were £3. I vote for the £shop ones they work just as well as the ones I used to have sent over from the US. :)

This is excellent, I shall be on the lookout! Might pop into Sainsbury's later since I'll pass it on the way home...

I don't know how that compares with the Mr.Clean ones.. but if you don't end up finding them powerful enough, the erasers weigh next to nothing! A regular sponge is heavy compared to the erasers, so it should be pretty cheap to send. :)

I asked Mr Water Fire to have a quick nose in Poundland on the way to work, and he found me some! Yay!

I shall have to report back on them once I get my mitts on my dirty ponies...

I would like someone who has both to do a side by side comparison on how effective one is VS the other.
I wish they'd have the erasers here in the US at dollar stores!
They're expensive and you can go though them pretty fast if you're scrubbing hard.

I bought a doktor power one today in sainsburys for £1.50.

Now I have that one, Poundland one, and Lakeland one. I'm gonna see which is the best one. *goes on cleaning marathon*

Lol it's just a tag. If you write [ you ] without the spaces, it'll come up as the username of whoever's reading it.
