MH Doll repair help

Hi Folks!  My daughter's Holt Hyde, has had the elastic or whatever it is that holds his legs in his torso snap.  And it's kind of split apart at the bottom of the torso too.  If I buy a new male torso can I stick his head and arms and legs on it?  Anyone have any other suggestions?  Of all the dolls to break, it had to be him, urggghhhh!
