I know more about Tales and S3 and FiM than G1.

Well, Wind Whistler of course.  She was the one who made me a pony fan.  She had to be the best developed character on the show.  I could also relate to her plight in Crunch the Rockdog.  I also like her color scheme.  As for a specific version, it would be Movie Star.  The baby blue whistles mixed with the pink look nicer than the all pink whistles.

Actually the new toy was added after I started my thread so I edited it in later! But that just gave my thread a dual purpose!

I don't believe in picking favorites. Especially when there are so many good ponies to choose from. Why do I have to love one more than the other? Some ponies get a 10 on my scale while others get a 1. But there are more than 10 ponies so if I chose a favorite that means only one is a 10 on the best pony scale and the other several hundred are ranked somewhere between 1 and 9. Makes no sense. More than one pony can be a 10. Lets just say lots of yellow ponies are a 10 while lots of pink ponies are a 1 in my book.
