Good to know about the hoof numbers.  And Cat I think that might be it.

Now a million dollar question - do the numbers on the different waves change or are they random?

I know what the numbers mean on the brushables represents but it looks like a different coding system on the blind bags unfortunately...normally the first 2 numbers are the year they were made and the last 3 are the date in that year that the item was manufactured. The first 2 digits on the blind bags probably also represent the year but the last 3 numbers I am not sure on its probably a date reference of some kind.

So I bought all BB Wave 4 and compared to the rainbow pack and found Applejack is the only one that was remarkably different (W4-yellow/RC-orange). Most likely because Fluttershy is already the yellow guy and somepony else called pink.

I spent $15 to find that out, what a waste.
