Trying to get in contact with ebayer hikariamaya

Hi there! I sold my baiaty G1 seashell on July 21st on ebay. I have in my auctions in capital letters that if you have less then 5 positive feedbacks that the buyer must make contact with me prior to the auction ending. The auction sold for .99 cents to a brand new buyer with 0 feedback. I have not had any contact with the buyer. I sent this person 2 emails requesting payment to be made, and some kind of email or contact from them.

I allow 5 days for payment to be made so they have until July 26th to pay me. I am getting frustrated with bidders not reading my auctions "rules". All I want is a simple note, saying hi, i am a real person and intend to pay if I win.

I am hoping perhaps the buyer may be a member here. Perhaps they forgot to pay me, or dont know how? I am more then willing to help them along, I just want to hear from them.

I am sorry you are having issues. 

There is a member here by that name but I am almost positive that is not the ebay user ID I know her to use.  But she could have opened another account.

Maybe you could PM her and ask if it's the same person?  It wouldn't hurt.

HI guys, thank you for your help with this. I too am sorry she is going through some family issues. However that may be, but she still had the ability to open an ebay account on the 18th, and to bid and win my auction. Of corse this is assuming it is the smae person. But with the facts I have it seems that it is.
I am certainly not trying to be a bitch about this, but this is my money and time involved. I left for a 2 week trip to Texas and brought her pony with me to ship once she paid. I am going above and beyond with this buyer just trying to pull some kind of contact out of them. I ahte to open a case against a brand new ebayer, but I will if it comes to it. Thanks again!!

I don't think your being unreasonable what so ever.  It's business and ebay puts the strain on us anymore.  So it is completely understandable.

I do hope she comes and explains what happend or Pm's you back quickly.

It looks like the last time she was on the arena was the 15th. She made her ebay account on the 18th, again assuming it is her.  I just dont understand all this over a dollar. Ebay is getting to be ridiculous. I had to put in mt listing that if you have less then 5 positive feedback you must make contact with me. I am about at the point of not allowing people to bid. It just shouldnt be this hard. I really appreciate all the feedback and help you guys have given me!

I'm so sorry to hear this sarah   it does seem out of character for her, so I'm hoping that everything is ok and that she will respond to you soon and sort this out. If  she doesnt pay/contact you then of course opening a case is the right thing to do, even if it is the same person who is a member here. It could be that if she is having RL issues then she may have forgot she bid on your pony  or thought she wouldnt have won at that price, and hasnt been online since..  that doesnt excuse her though.  Hopefully she will contact you soon

EDIT- I just logged into ebay and received a email from her. She says she intends to pay me by tomorrow (yes!!). However she said "I reread your auction after you emailed me the first time. and honestly have never heard of that rule of auctions with telling them their intentions".

I replied back to her saying how much I appreciate her contact, and my "rule" in my auction about making contact is not a ebay "rule"  but a guideline I established after having so many non-paying bidders in the past.

Is it wrong of me to put that "rule" into my auctions? Is there a way I can just block bidders with less than 5 or 10 positive feedbacks? This isnt the first time I have had this exact same problem. I just dont understand how you bid on somthing but dont read everything in the listing? I am justn glad this will be over with shortly and move on to somthing else!

I honestly see nothing wrong with your "rule" alot of sellers have that exact same one in place.

I double checked on my account to see if you can block bidders with less than 5 or 10 feedback.  And you can't. I didn't think you could but I wanted to double check for sure.

But you can set a few requirements.  Just go into your My Ebay and hover over the account tab, it should bring up a list, click Seller Account.  Then on that page on the left click Site Preferences.   It will be the 9th one down under Buyer Requirements, click Show, then click Edit.  It's basically to block people with unpaid item strikes or policy violations.  But it might help.
