Stalking Ditzy Doo 2012

When Disney puts up their limited dolls they tell us the time and day, but even then sometimes the doll doesn't show up until hours later.  I waited two hours past the hour the last time.  For Merida someone finally linked us to the website sales page code before she was showing in the searches for her on the store site.  I don't know how they did it though but it meant I could finally go to bed.

Out of curiosity, do you think most of the people trying to buy Ditzy are adults (that is for adults).  Or do you think there are many parents trying to get one for their kids?

I'd say most that are trying will be adult buying for themselves (like collectors) or those who know they can sell her and get a good bit of money out of her ._.

I think it's mostly bronies. Parents would not go through this much trouble for a pony toy.

I'm assuming they have some SDCC exclusives left. The Jem one cost a pretty penny so I'm guessing they gotta have some leftovers of her and others. If I see Jem then I know the exclusives are up and if I don't see the famed Ditzy Doo then yea I'm throwing in the towel.

I wish that Jem doll wasn't so pricy! I'd love to have her, but if I get her, and they come out with the rest of the holograms and misfits at that price I'll have to have them too, and it's a dark road I don't want to go down!

In the magical world in my head she will be cheaper on the site than she was at con.  though I know reality wont allow that lol.  Im very tempted myself but Im the same way and Id have to get them all too and my wallet will want a divorce.

I think it's mostly adults. The con/art ponies aren't really considered "play things" as far as I understand. Then again, Ditzy was in the show, even if she had a very minor one-time speaking role, so maybe.

It's probably adult fans - pony collectors, bronies, and everypony in between.  Maybe even some pop-culture fans, since she is such a big deal (if she's so hard to find, then I want one too).

Is Pony just more expensive than last year's SDCC pony, or did they discount it last year? I know last year I used a code that gave me free shipping and 10% off but I think she was listed as $15. Was that her price at the con last year, or was she $20 there?

Ugh, I'm not used to getting up this early three days in a row, usually I wake up around noon (Central)!  My eyes keep flipping out and feel much like our little muffin pony' eyes!   

I know the feeling! I keep crazy hours. I'm used to getting my snooze on about now. This is several days of sleep deprivation now, and it's making me a weeeee bit silly. For a very large definition of wee.

And yeah, I'm guessing adults. As is usually the case with most convention exclusives, I'd think. The cost/difficulty to acquire tend dissuade casual buyers.

I feel like Hasbro's going to be treading a fine line with the esclusives this year. Obviously, there was hype on Monday. Tuesday was looking pretty good, too. But as the week wears on, less and less people are going to be checking the site. They're gonna start loosing people if they don't get these up soon.

There is definitely going to be extra competition this year between the bronies and extra vigilant scalpers. They're going to be able to get a lot more for Ditzy than they have for past con exclusives, I suspect.

I think it's mostly adult and teenage collectors, and possibly resellers.  I am trying to get one for a friend and one for trading purposes.  I would never buy one to resell for more than it's worth!  That's wrong.

Nope, they've been skirting around the issue by just calling her the "exclusive pony" or "grey pegasus".
