I'm sitting around hoping that this whole Pony disaster was just a big ploy by the Hasbro team to make a lot of money.  Bring a very limited amount to first fair, make her seem ULTRA rare.  Bring a very limited amount to SDCC so they all sell out and everyone is flipping out.  Leave the fans foaming at the mouth for days trying to figure out when they'll go up online.

Then put TONS of them on the website so that everyone jumps on in a terrible rush to make sure they get one and buy up multiples of them before they realize that aren't nearly as rare as they thought.  Hasbro makes lots of money, the fans are super happy that they were able to get her, and the only people getting 'screwed' in the deal is the scalpers. ;D  I know it's probably way too optimistic but that's what I've been hoping for ever since SDCC ended.

Everyday now since Monday, my mom will come home and go "did you get your pony yet?" She doesn't quite understand why I want to spend all this time waiting around to buy a pony when I have so many already. But she is buying it for me (I'm paying with her credit card) because I did some work for her. Hopefully today I'll be able to tell her "yes" when she inevitably asks me again.

Well, anyone who buys from the online store could return them.  So if there were tons of them I think the resellers would sell what they could at a profit to ebay people who don't know yet, and then return the rest.  The only people who would really be "screwed" would be the collectors who bought pre-sales or after-con sales before the market was flooded.

Ha, I'd be mildly irritated after spending as much as I did on her, but if more people who wanted her were able to acquire one, then that'd be fine by me!
