Gripe story about dog eating Galaxy a lie!! Anyone know xvxmichiexvx??

I've been keeping an eye out for a NM Galaxy upgrade for a while now.  So when I saw a $5 BIN one in great shape with original curl and backcard, I snatched her up happily.  But the seller emailed me this morning to regretfully report that her dog grabbed Galaxy while she was preparing the pony for shipment.  And unfortunately Galaxy is no longer NM.   


*sigh*  Oh, well, these things happen, right?  Another nice one will come along.

Oh no! I'm sure the seller was at least nice about it. It would be worse if you'd had a bad encounter with an irresponsible seller, wouldn't it? But still, poor Galaxy!

Yeah, the seller was nice.  She said she'd give me free shipping if I bought anything else.  I just sent a message asking if I could get the backcard as a consolation prize.

I think a lot of peoples first reactions would be weird excuse but I once had my dog steal a wrapped up Baby Firefly playpen from my desk [hes only a foot and a half high and had to climb on to a swirly chair to get it] and nom through the parcel to chew up the pen...I was mortified when I had to go back to the buyer on ebay and tell them what happened! So I guess it can happen!

I am sure another one will come along soon enough. Its not as though you are out of pocket but you are of course allowed to be grumpy.

Yeah, I don't think the seller was lying.  She's just some lady who's selling her childhood ponies that were well cared-for.  Well, Galaxy WAS well cared-for until last night.  She said she gave the dog quite a scolding.


It's OK; I'm just a bit disappointed, that's all.  Thanks for the pony hugs!

This.  Kind of like the dog ate my homework excuse.  I had this happen with a dress I bought off eBay.  The seller even marked it as Shipped for 2 days before she messaged me to say the dress had been damaged during the shipping process.   What?!  I don't know Kelly, I'm really bummed out for you right now.  I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for of NM

Dogs do crazy stuff. It's possible, especially if it was young and thought a vinyl pony would make a great toy . (I lost my 2nd gen Ivy and Clever Clover this way! ).

I'm really sorry things didn't work out. I'm sure you'll find another nice Galazy eventually. C:

I've lost a pair of great Oakley sunglasses, several papers, a few of my stuffed animals, and anything else unlucky enough to be on my coffee table when my Yorkie was younger. She has separation anxiety; she still chews up things like the handles of her new brushes. Yorkies are the worst.... I'm sorry for your loss.
