Hi Ponies!

     So I log in to my eBay account the other morning, and I receive this message (about the listing below):

"Good luck selling a $5 bait pony with a hair cut for that much!! You might get some idiot to buy it.

- serendipityponies"

Just thought I would share.  I didn't respond, but I won't be selling to this member.


This was the auction she was writing me about:

What should I do?

UPDATE:  The member changed his/her username to
e_a_b_s_a_s_y_wipe

then BOUGHT the pony, requested a total, then sent me this message:


"Dear paradise*auction,

I bought this item. I have no intention of paying. HAHA!!!!

- e_a_b_s_a_s_y_wipe"

Then, to make it even sweeter, I get this for a Feedback:

"Item was too high priced. Covered in cancer too."

So, then I tried to send a cancellation request, and the member denied it.No worries though, because ebay handled everything for me, and luckily they don't tolerate this mess.

Oh dear... well, now she's on my list for harassment.  Just because one doesn't like a price, doesn't mean you mock the seller to their face about it!

I'm not very familiar with sea ponies but the hair looks fine except for the front part having a tiny trim. I guess I can't really see how that would qualify as bait. Looks good to me.

Maybe they have listed or are going to list a similar item and wanted to scare off competition? Some people have a little too much time on their hands I suppose.

I am going to assume she knows nothing about variants or exactly what the term bait means?  Sorry you had to deal with such a rude person Stormy

The price does seem a bit high, but that's no reason at all for her to send such a rude message!   There are so many nicer ways she could have said something, or she could have just not said a thing at all. That pony is definitely not bait either way The pearly finish is way too nice to qualify as 'bait', and the 'haircut' is merely a forelock trim.

Is the price a mistake? Or am I missing something here? 
Because whoever messaged you seem to be right about the price. I have three of those in my to sell box, two of which are the pearlized version, and they are $5 each.

But yes, report them for harassment! It's your auction and you are free to ask one million dollars for the pony if you want to, that doesn't give other ebayers any right to harass you about it.
