For the love of Paradise Estate, don't put boiling water on your pony hair! Pony hair is plastic, plastic MELTS! Some customizers will briefly dip in their pony's curls in hot water to set them permanently, but it's brief contact.Rise your pony hair in cool water only when washing.

If pony hair can withstand a flat iron, it can withstand boiling water. Just don't leave it sitting for 15 minutes or longer or you may get it dry and brittle. Oh and do NOT do this to chartruese hair! The color bleeds. Lots of the time you will need boiling - or near boiling water - to clean ponies so don't think they are that fragile. The vinyl body is honestly more "weak" than the nylon hair.
The best way to get rid of dry hair is with a pair of scissors.
