G4 Fashion Style Prototypes...

I'm going to guess that wingless Rainbow Dash is grabbed off the assembly line before the wings are attached. The mold kinda looks like they would punch holes in the back and insert wings, so she was just nabbed before the final step maybe?

Yeah I noticed the wings aren't part of the actual mold, so these are just unfinished. Are the wings glued on or is there actually something securing them?

To me, the wings look like they are just glued onto the pony. If the Fashion Style ponies were not so expensive, I would dissect one just to find out.

Fluttershy is saved Horray! This whole conversation about her wings really made me laugh!  I have my FS Fluttershy here and her wings are stuck on for sure, there is some glue residue around them

According to hanna, there is also some hunk of plastic that apparently gets jammed through their back also keeping the wings in place.

:O Is she REALLY pearly? Cause they always look that way in the pictures, then are super matte when they actually show up in stores and it makes me so disappointed

Well lookit that! I had to literally get up and go into the other room just to check and you're right, her body definitely has a subtle shimmer to it!

So are the pearly versions the ones which are actually showing up in stores? The matt finish the Taobao variants?

The one I bought the other day that is currently showing up in stores is pearly, however the one sold at Target in the two pack is matte

Doh! I was considering getting her if she was pearly. I'm not fond of the pink version but pearly would be cool.
