G4 Fashion Style Prototypes...

So how many variants of the fashion styling ponies are there? Anyone know a rough estimate of how many of each are floating around and which are the hardest to find? I love the white Celestia and the Luna and celestia without tinsel, the Rarity/Celestia is so pretty too x

I only pay attention to the ones that look like finished ponies - so taking out the few that look like now being confirmed releases I would guess wingless Dash, white Celestia and the Rarity symbol/Celestia hair.

The Luna/Celestia without tinsel are the ones which look to be released in the next fashion waves.

I think wingless Dash tends to crop up on Taobao now and again but white Celestia continues to be illusive and sells out there quickly. I do still think white Celestia will turn up - probably in TRU as a Collectors item but for the moment she is still the most popular of the bunch I believe.

I don't know how many of them but I do know of some;

- The two tone hair Pony with bigger eyes
- Winged Rarity
- Wingless Rainbow Dash
- Celesity, Celestia's head on Rarity's body
- Tinsel less pink Celestia, she have different hair I believe comes with/without glitter on wings
- Tinsel less Luna, different hair comes with glitter/without on wings/symbols
- White Celestia

I do possess 3 of them, here's some pics. Both my Luna and Celestia got Glitter on their wings, but I've seen them without glitter too. Surprisingly my Luna got pearly plastic like some G3s did.

From my searches on eBay and Taobao the hardest to find are both of the celestias followed by celestia head on Rarity body. The wingless RD is a little more available on Taobao but not eBay.

Not sure but the Luna without tinsel from Taobao may have hair colors in a different order than the recently announced wedding FS Luna. I can't tell from the pics.

I think the main difference would be the glitter. Some Lunas and Celestias do not have the body glitter, I'm not too sure about my Luna but if she is the w2 one, then the glitterless will be prototypes.

Yes. I got 2 of the Luna variants from Taobao one has glitter and one without. Now I can't let go of either!

I would "guess" so...lol...but with HB you never know until they hit stores which way they have gone - yes glitter and no tinsel or no glitter and no tinsel!

I think we'll know about this when she starts appearing on Taobao in larger quantities like Pony.

Maybe the white Celestia was earmarked as a possible release instead of Pony...  Maybe Hasbro had a few ideas in mind for the 2012 exclusive... or maybe she IS the pony fair exclusive : )

Yeah, I'm guessing they went with no glitter for the 2012 release or else they may have been too similar?

@teresat: Thank you, if I get a chance for a good shot I'll sure post some better pictures of their cutie marks and bodies for reference. I prefer taking shots outdoors than indoors.

I saw 4 on taobao about 5 days ago. She is confirmed to be a playful single pony.

Agreed, want the ones that look like finished ponies. I love FS ponies. I don't really even like the look of the Luna/Celestia pack and I got them. They're all too cute.

Like anything on Taobao I wont believe until I see "in box" but I think of the lot Celestia is likely simply because of the amount of sellers who have had her...but as you say its all "we ll see"
