Yes I think the Perm Shop is supposed to be a vanity unit as well...hence the mirror on top

See what you mean about the Perm Shop. Never paid much attention to later playsets, so just had to look it up, but having doors and windows in the curtain under the dressing table does make it hard to identify as furniture. The yellow bottom bit looked like a tree trunk at first glance!
So basically, MLP are tiny, like in Mary Norton's book 'The Borrowers'? Scary!
