How many ponies in your collection?

Oh jeez uhhh, I'm guessing I must have surpassed the 500 mark as I recently acquired 170 of them at once and that certainly bolstered the numbers up a bit. I haven't done a formal count, but I have two 3 ft high shelves, each with tiers of shelving, full of them as well as a 90 gallon storage tub and two 50 gallon storage tubs. For having that many, they really don't take up too much space. it's the darn playsets that are the killers, all those went in the basement and I really kind of want to get rid of most of them. The only things i really like are the dream castle, and it's G3 counterpart.

I collect mainly G1s, but if you count all generations I have over 300.

I used to have somewhere around 330, but around three/four years ago I sold it all down to my favorite 16 or so and plan to keep it that way (give or take). Decided I would rather admire ponies from afar and keep my pocketbook thicker for other things.

Mine is small. 25 (26 if Spike counts), not counting the McDonald's Ponies, the fakie I have dubbed Toasty, and the Peach Blossom I bought for my mom.
I have ten G1s: 6 Flutter Ponies (Rosedust, Forget-Me-Not, Honeysuckle, Yum Yum, Cloud Puff, Morning Glory), 3 Unicorns (Sparkler, Skyflier, Moondancer), and one Pegasus (Firefly).
I have fifteen G4s (sixteen if Spike counts): Luna, Celestia, a custom Alicorn made from my first Celestia and whose identity I'm not disclosing just yet, the Mane 6, a duplicate Twilight Sparkle from the Royal Castle Friends pack, a custom Wind Whistler, Cheerilee, and the CMC. And Spike from the RCF pack also.

700 or so.  The number of ponies I buy on a regular basis has decreased dramatically since the start of G4.   They just have so many problems, I find it difficult to find and buy ones that are good quality.  Not to mention all the mane 6 releases aren't particularly tempting. : P

I know it's somewhere over the 500 mark if you count everything (reg ponies, customs, plush, ponyville....)  I do the majority of my buying once a year at the Fair, so it tends to grow in leaps.

I'm so close to 100, only about 10 away! I keep prowling craigslist and thrift stores for that next lot which will push me over 100.
