Symbols are on different sides and their hair order is different. The DD which came with the bonus pack [when no bangs] has light hair and then dark hair where as the one in the ride along pack has dark hair and then light hair.

This is so complicated! Remember in G1 when all the ponies looked different and you didn't have to work out different versions of them because their hair was in a different order? Like, they had different poses and hair colours and names... *grumble*

Oh I am so with you...the days when variant meant a different pose, a different colour, a different species! Bring them back

They had the riding along with Rarity and Daisy Dreams at TRU when I went the other day.

Is there any difference between this Daisy Dreams and the earlier, Euro- exclusive release? I hope so, because I paid to get my hands on her when she was Euro-only.

Oh, well then, I mean that's TOTALLY worth the extra money I paid to have her shipped here from, I think, Spain. Right?
 

Anyway, so that this isn't a total gripe-fest post, I went to TRU and Target here in NC Thursday and did not see either the story packs with Cadance and Twilight, nor the two-packs with Luna and Rarity, and Celestia and Pinkie Pie (still don't get why SHE wasn't the one paired with Twilight?), which are the new releases I'm after. But I am encouraged to see a couple posts that others in the States have found some of the two-packs, so I think I'll be haunting the stores more frequently. Someone kindly give a heads-up if the show up on hasbrotoyshop, please? I looked the other day and they were not there.

ponyRN - not a huge difference unfortunately. Honestly though its a risk we take with exclusives. If we dont buy them when they come out we run the risk of them never coming out again but at the same time we are only a couple of years into this line and HB is already showing a lack of imagination and a fondness for rereleases, therefore we also risk  spending a lot of money on something which is exclusive in 2012 but may be a US release by 2014.

She also has some checklists up, though I'm not sure if they're finished for the past two years. 2010 looks so short, but 2011 hasn't been updated since September and, like I did in the days before I got Summer's books, I prefer that they're last update is dated the NEXT year, to make sure they're accurate:

Found the blank marker doodle ponies, the two littlest newborns, both Princess & friend sets, and the Walkin Talking Pinkie Pie today at my Target in Kingston, Massachusetts.

Acting on the info here I went to my target in Cary, NC last night and they had labels for "2 pack" and "Princess" something-or-other, but were sold out. However, there was shelf space for them, and the pony display had been redone since I was there barely a week before, so that is encouraging. If I have time and money (cat is to wallet as Kryptonite is to Superman), I will check back or look at some other Targets this week.

Long Island ponies: I found the Fluttershy Design-a-Pony at the South Setauket Target. They had plenty of her, but no Dash.

well, im excited to say that skyla, white celestia with pinkie, luna with rarity, walkin talkin pinkie pie and the crystal motion ponies have hit new jersey. now i have to wait for the other SSNB's :c

She is in Wave 10 along with AppleJack That wave hasnt been added yet - so dont worry you can look out for her soon!

Found one lonely 5" plush Fluttershy at my Toys R Us in Northern VA today. She has a good home now.
