There's no reason they can't make both. When BF had the SSC license as Bridge Direct they made both new and old style ones for a while before dropping the new ones because nobody was buying them. And maybe they can even do 2 packs with a G1 and a G3.

While I was shopping in Mexico tonight, I found a large body pillow at Walmart. Not sure if it’s been reported before. One side has Twilight smiling, the other has an all-over print with Twilight, Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie. Pretty cute imo! It rang up to 182 pesos, and with the current exchange I paid close to $8.90 USD for it. Not bad for the size!

The store doesn’t give out bags anymore though. Imagine walking down the whole parking lot with a huge pony pillow over your shoulder

Wow they look great! But they're going to release a new product just as the show is ending...?  Interesting choice.

Old news, they're alright. I appreciate the sculpting and the eyelashes are really cool!

However it goes to show, again, that G4 looks terrible in a 3D space. There's still this uncanny-ness to it that you get when you try to be faithful to FiM's style.

Unlike Hasbro, they got the height/legs of the ponies correctly, their ears are positioned right, and they have proper tails. G4.5s have those weird stubby legs when G4s' were fine, and of course, we all know about G4's... weird tail placement. But they still have those awful necks.

The thing that's the most "off" about these particular figures is Rarity, both her weird eyebrows and her hair is off.

Her tail also seems a bit too short. Twilight just looks like her busy book release for the movie.
I think Flutters and AJ look the best but I don't know if I'll be picking these up.

At $5 each I will probably pick up RD, at least. If I can find them. Not too big an investment. I'll wait until I see the product before deciding, though. Sometimes they turn out quite different from the renders.

Of course. My Celestia has difficulty standing too.

A lot of the Raritys at Costco had factory dirt, I think I saw some ponies with smudged eyes, and Rainbow Dash had warped wings. Like, her wings were folded outward. Like this:
