I was hoping they'd be closer to 30 so I could get an extra set to customize.  Is there any chance the price will go down if they hit Amazon?  Like around Black Friday?

Zelda : Yeah, basically.
I wasn't interested in buying them a lot.
I bought a Funko Fluttershy in 2012, a set of rainbow blind bags in 2013 and a EQG Muffin figure last year(2019) and the other figures are gifts and just a few wild finds. I wasn't at all what we call "invested" in that gen.
If I were an adult back in G1, G2 or G3, I would have bought the hell off of the shelves.

Only gen I skipped was 3.5 and those ponyville figures, never ever going to have them in my collection. if i ever get them, they'll be given to the kid I babysit.

I skipped 3.5, EQG and I refuse to buy Gen Jawless so its not that hard of a stretch to imagine skipping iterations.

I have no idea whats up with the Luna with Raritys mane on the blind bag that comes with Twilight. Nice facial expression though.

yeah, i'm... really not big on those anthro ponies. definitely hoping that this sort of toy stays with the pony life line, like the ponyville figurines stayed with g3.5.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I kind of like the Smashin' Fashion ponies! I'm optimistic about them, but I do think that they're slightly awkward.

Sure, I'll take brushable hair over it any day, but molded hair does have its place and doesn't need maintenance, especially with how bad the hair quality has been lately (seriously, I have a whole Maruchan ramen noodle box full of ponies I haven't defrizzed yet. I'll get around to it, I swear). I can see why some prefer it (especially bronies who are less likely to have grown up with doll hair).

I do like the rare articulated ponies we get, and these have joints (at least at the shoulders) which appear to be able to move outward! I'm not sure how I feel about them in biped mode, but the wing placement on the winged ones is another supporting detail for the possibility of quadruped mode. Is it just me, or do I spy differing angles between Twi and Dash? If you have to do both, you'll have to sacrifice some quality somewhere, which strangely appears to be biped mode!

I'm not sure how big these'll be (does it say anywhere?), but I'm hoping it's smaller than the brushables- you have to justify apparently getting rid of that lovely ball-jointed neck! I like the pearly finish, which reminds me of the G3 ponies I played with as a kid (though stronger and not glittery). The clothing looks a bit odd, but perhaps it will grow on me! I do like Rainbow's winged shoes. Twilight's got questionable taste, though.

I'd never replace the brushables with these, but they've got things going for them! I'm actually looking forward to them! Chances are they won't catch on and be some of those weird "remember these?" figures in the future. I'll be grabbing at least one!
