You know what they look like... remember when we made that joke many years ago about what the future of MLP would be, and someone drew this really silly pink pony with a giant head and little peg feet? These ponies look like that picture. Which was supposed to be a joke, not a suggestion!

They aren't G5. G5 will start around the time the upcoming theatrical movie comes out, which isn't for another two years. These are just a new style of G4 (just like G3.5 being a short lived mold change before G4 started).

And I agree that Potion Nova looks WAY too much like Rarity - had to do a double take when I first saw her, I thought they'd just changed Rarity's symbol or something.. Figures that it takes something like this for them to give us a new character. :p

Well, I like them, especially their eyes! So different, and Potion Nova looks almost feline with her lashes 

Potion + Trixie are my faves.

In fact, I like all of them!

Also yeah, Potion Nova might just be the dumbest name in the franchise.

They look like they're made from the same plastic as G4.5s... very hard. I know acetone is used on soft doll heads but I haven't used it myself. Would it still work on them if the heads are hard?

I don't know at all. It may crack them or make them melt. But I really want to see what they'd look like with a smaller head.

What I’m concerned about is how to get their headas back on IF the head does shrink... The neck looks to be too small already!

It seems heads expand before they shrink from what I have been reading, and it should apparently soften it too. I may have to resort to carving the inside of the neck hole, though.
