How should I rehair Fizzy?

I'm working on a G4 custom of Fizzy, and having a hard time deciding what order to do her hair colours in.

On the one hand, I have a sacred duty to uphold the original G1 style as faithfully as I can, which is Light Pink -> White -> Dark Pink -> Green.

On the other hand, what says G4 more than ~*~show accuracy~*~? Her mane seems to go something like Green -> Light Pink -> Dark Pink -> White here. If I were keeping her I'd go with this just because I like it more, but I'm going to be offering her up for auction.


What would you do?

I think it depends on what you want to sell.
If you're trying to sell a G1->G4 Fizzy, then maybe going with the toy's hair is best.
If you're trying to sell a customized version of Fizzy from the show, then the show's hair is better.
Either way, she's going to be beautiful, it's just a matter of what version of the character you're trying to get across in the custom, I think.
That's just my two cents, here.

If you're using a rehairing tool you could try both ways and decide which you like better before gluing (assuming you glue).

I plan to follow the toy when I make mine (finally ordered the last hair colors I needed to make her--so excited, EEEE!).

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the toy too. Her hair on the show doesn't have any clear lines of demarcation to separate the colours. I'd be afraid of messing it up D:

Personally, I prefer the look from the show. That's the Fizzy I fell in love with.

I'd actually be interested in seeing her with the green first! I'm sure she'll be loved and will sell either way, as long as she's advertised as being movie accurate.

I have another question. Which is the correct light pink for her? MY Fizzy's streak is an exact match for "Pink Sugar", but I'm pretty sure she's faded.

From left to right: Tea Rose, Pussycat, Pink Sugar, Fizzy

I think originally she would be Tea Rose followed by Pussycat or Pink Sugar, depending on if you'd like it to be lighter or not.

This is Princess Locket's Fizzy, she looks pretty unfaded except for the second stripe which is a little bit faded.

The second stripe is white, I thought. :O Also WOW, my Fizzy looks positively destitute compared to that beauty ;_; But I love her anyways.

I like both ways personally. However, for the pink I normally replace ponies with the fading pink with fairy's breath

I this!  This would make a beautiful custom nirvana!  Saply, I think if you had the time and resources, you should try your hand at making both versions; both would probably sell quick!  Your customs are lovely.  ^_^
