Because it is REALLY BORING being the omnipotent overlord of Equestria?  I mean, she's over a thousand years old.  She's had to have "been there, done that" to everything by now.

I noticed that too. In the box she seems to only have pink/purple hair, but on the back panel it clearly shows her with a blue/teal streak in front. Maybe it's just pinned down on the other side?

The only thing I like about this set is the packaging. I really wish they'd use more characters. Like how about.... Luna's Midnight Tea Party? It would have Luna, and 2 night themed ponies, like owls, or stars, stuff like that. The accessories would be nocturnal animal friends, and the tea set of course.

It looks like celestia may have variant hair. Hopefully her head matches her body this release around.

I was thinking this would be the lighter pink Celestia which has been on Taobao in the last couple of months but she looks just as pink as the original I think...

Yeah, she's looking pretty pink. I wish they'd use this release for a corrected white version of her like with the big sized one. Maybe someday in the future...

I think Hasbro's just trying to hook new buyers in. Little kids that see a cute little tea set, Mommy/Daddy buys it for them and suddenly they need to buy four single packs. Kinda how I feel about playsets in general. That and well... I know as a kid I loved playsets, even if I had the toys already.

Yeah. I suppose since they have a Toys r us exclusive coming up that's aimed towards the older audience with DJ-pon3 and nightmare moon, while this is targeting their main younger audience. Not too expensive to make with repeats, while that new big TRU package will be more expensive to manufacture with all the new ponies. Makes sense in that regard.

I love Pinkie Pie & Rainbow Dash but not sure I'll get this as that trolley/cart kinda looks similar to the trolley/cart in the celebration at Canterlot playset!  They do seem to repeat things quite a bit don't they? I agree it's a bit cheaper to do that though.
