I wonder... if you used conditioner... and maybe a hair flattening iron,  could you "UN TROLLY" his hair???

Edit: I might grab a troll from my local thrift store and "Experiment" a little.    :devious:

I don't have many G4's, well only styling Rarity right now still in her box from the MLP fair last year during the hasbro toy shop stop....

But, I wouldn't mind a brushable Big Macintosh.

Love the sculpt, hate the hair. I'll get him, but I hope I can rehair him. I don't think the troll hair looks right at all. It just looks like he's got some wierd disease!

The troll hair has really taken the shine off Shining Armor for me . . . At first I figured, hey, no problem, I could just rehair him, but now it sounds like he won't have hair plugs like a normal pony would, just a groove?       Major disappointment.

I'm not sure how I feel about the mold itself.  It just looks kind of odd, and depressed.

I really want to see the royal guards and Big Mac. Thunderlane also had a really nice design.

Hopefully they'll do different molds for the earth and pegasus ponies so we'll get a variety of body shapes. The pegasi could have the lighter generic male build, the earth ponies could be in Big Mac's draft style, and then we'd have the regal unicorns in Shining Armor's mold. It'd give even more variety if they could mix'n'match the heads.

my only concern with the troll hair is that well, they don't age well. things like to breed in them if you're not careful.

Breed in them.
Breed in them.
Breed in them.

*gag*
What a horrible thought. Heebie Jeebies time.

Would love brushable boy ponies! Now that Hasbro's made the mould I'll bet they'll be reusing it to their full advantage. With the blind bag boys, I'm convinced that introducing boy ponies is their intent. The idea appeals to us adult collectors, it appeals to the bronies (so they can customise to make their OCs, I'm guessing), we'll just have to see how well it appeals to little girls. I'm not fond of the troll hair myself, (it just doesn't look like hair to me) but it's something I can fix.

Gabumon, please to let us know how your experiment goes, but my instincts are telling me that troll hair would melt with that kind of heat. Maybe use the hair irons when they're just warming up / cooling down? Of course, if it's just a test subject try all kinds of heat, I would love to be proven wrong about my doubts :D

ETA: I would definitely buy Big Mac, *Caramel*, BlueBlood and any type of Royal Guard! Plus original Hasbro designs because they'll be so cute.

Hmmm... I managed to get a troll in among a bag of toys ages ago that is still in my basement toy box somewhere.  Perhaps I'll have to give it a go... if I can ever find the time, haha.

I was actually looking for 'troll hair' to buy to use for some baby ponies I made... couldn't find a thing.  It'd be perfect for them if you think of it.  Newborns have this 'peach fuzz' type hair to begin with.
