When you fall under the spell of an ADORABLE kitten and adopt her and DD names her Lily Blossom.  (was Cupcake).
Got a bunch in the mail today, waiting to see when DD notices the increase in her herd.  ;)

you have too many ponies when you have to start sizing up which books you want to keep and what ones you need to get rid of to make room for ponies.

When you start looking at ponies on ebay that you already have   and start thinking I need a double of it just because I like it alot and next thing you know you want lots of doubles....yeah I ended up with my second munchy last week and when I got her in the mail I was like I got this girl already and like her but darn did I have to ebay for a double

You have too many ponies when:  they start talking to you (no really, they are really talking.)  And they say to you "if you bring us one more "friend" we are going to eat it".  I think it's safe to say that you probably have too many ponies at that point, but before then you are okay. lol
