August 11th - WI Pony Meet - Kaukana!

Kaukana would work for me...I have family in Appleton so it would give me an excuse to visit. I live in Menomonee Falls (15 minutes north of Milwaukee) so ponies in my area who would need a ride can join me.

Though if space is your concern you might want to try and get about 12 people or so to come over and see how they fit, but you'll also need to factor in the room for folding tables and displays. Also note that when it's summer and a pile of people in your home it's going to get HOT! But if the day is going to be nice I don't see why we can't play games outside and do the pony selling/trading and so on inside your place.

That being said at worse case we could discuss having two meets...one for the northern ponies and one for the southern ponies, which might reduce crowding especially if we do it on the same day and chit chat in the arena as a "live feed" of the party ^_^

That's a neat idea! 'live feed' would be fun especially since our state is big enough that sometimes its a long drive to get everyone together. I'm up for either or, like I mentioned this is my one bigger weekend event I attend in the summer so I usually plan out having to drive.

Me and my roommate are interested, we have a busy schedule, so we might not be able to make it, but we live in Wausau and my truck seats 5 (we can seat 6 in her car, but it's broken right now) if anybody needs a ride. There's a possibility she'll take her son with, so we might have one less seat. Location wont matter since we're pretty central, but we have lots of other plans for spring/summer, so finding a date that works for us will be difficult.

I don't know I almost think southern and maybe a smaller northern WI pony meets may work this year! (If we want to live stream then it may have to be held at my house as I have the net... this will take convincing of my hubby.)

HavAcrumpet and I have thrown the idea around to host... My house really isn't big enough, but she's got a nice size open apartment... (We also hope to include upper peninsula members if we are able to host.)

YES YES YES. I would love to make a trip to NE Wisconsin. Living in the UP, I'm a bit far from the rest of the Michigan folk.

The sperate board we used the previous boards is form ladyarcher...I'm not sure if it's available to use again. Otherwise discussing it here isn't bad as it lets others see what we are up to and if they want to join in all the fun.

I'm really thinking the north and south meets and streaming (or just live forum posting) would be ideal.

June 23 and 30 work for me, or any time in july.  I can host, I've got the room, but I'm in Abrams and that is another hour north of Kaukauna.  I'm so happy to see that we have a yooper pony amongst us!

I am busy the weekend of June 16-17. I'm up for driving but Green Bay area is about my limit for making it a single day trip. I would be kinda sad to see the meet broken into 2 as I love seeing the same people each year but for driving purposes that may be better.

I got the ok from my grandma to host a meet at her house if need be (she lives in Oregon, WI, so it'd be a Southern meet) I work every other weekend though so I would have to double check what dates would be best for me.
