How to style Applebloom's and Scootaloo's bangs??

I don't want to cut their mane but I want to style them some bangs, is it possible and if so how?

Of course its possible!! I havent done Sweetie belle or Scootaloo's yet, but I have styled an Apple Bloom.

( I actually have to retake this photo, I didnt realize how mess it looks!)
What I did was swoop a portion of her mane to form "bangs" and then used one of those plastic rubberbands that the G4's come with to hold the newly formed bangs in place. Then I boiled some water and poured it over her head to flatten the bangs, and this keeps them in place after I removed the rubberband. Works like a charm!

I did this with my Scootaloo because I adamantly refuse to ever, ever cut my ponys' hair. I'm sure someone with more talent could make her back bun thing look even better.

I was thinking of doing something like that with the hairbands they came with, but after hearing that they stain the plastic I'm a little hesitant.
Not to mention I'm not a fan of cutting pony hair. :S

Ah, right. You'd need to get those clear plastic bands they sell in like... one hundred-packs at your local store's hair accessory aisle. I switched Scoot's out awhile ago but that's an old picture, excavated from the bowels of the Hairstyling Thread on [some other pony site].
