I think that TAF is a very appropriate way to describe patterns. But if it helps, i have a small tale myself:

I woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and saw a bright pink patch on my forehead. My first reaction?
"OH NO, I HAVE REGRIND!"
Then i came to my senses and remembered that i was in fact, not a pony. And fortunately, i do not have regrind, it was just a scratch.
I have probably done other things, but that is all i remember now .
