What's this?? Plz Help
« on: March 04, 2012, 01:55:06 PM »
I got my old pony's to day and three of them as some funny looking mark.
Is it mold? can it spread to my other pony? is there away to get rid of it?

Hmm, it almost looks too red to be pony cancer. Is it that red in real life or is it more brown?

I doubt that it's mold because that tends to have a dot in the middle.

What I'd do; behead the adult ponies and take the tails out. Soak them in oxy clean or equivalent (best way to try and prevent any spread), and then sunfade the marks. I'm not sure whether it's safe to soak the baby as I know that it's a different kind of plastic, and I also don't know whether you can behead it.

I have ponies with all kinds of marks, including some with mold, and I've never had a problem with anything spreading.

It doesn't sound like a pony problem then, it sounds like an ink problem.

I wouldn't necessarily go as far as oxy clean unless you think they need a good spruce up, just crack on with the sunfading. :)

oh my! it looks like someone beat the poor things up!

is it just me or does it seem that the neck mark on Toe Dancer goes over to her leotard? If that is the case than it´s obviously just staining from something and thus, if you can't clean it with stuff like magic eraser, i recommend sunfading.

Looks almost like some of my ponies with varnish stains on their hooves from being on a cheap wood shelf. I think sunfading is worth a try.
