Do You Tell People About Your MLP Collecting Or Do You Hide It?

Really depends on the person and how close I am to them... I don't go flamboyantly showing off that I like ponies but it's not super secret either.

If the subject presents itself....but most people that come to out apartment see we love toys (lots of Ponies, transformers, Power Rangers ect.) I am not ashamed of anything I like. I also love Pokemon and have no problem being lound and proud about my loves <3

My friends all know I'm eccentric, and have the brain of a child... I don't think I ever told people, they just seem to know! People are genuinely curious and like the displays that I put together. But I think my fiance is prouder of my toys then I am He always gives friends and family a tour of my garage before I even get the chance to offer!

Sadly I'm going to have to be more cautious with my toys. I'd happily leave people unattended in there before whilst I cooked dinner, and let them play with them if they wanted, but one of my ponies recently went missing I'm rather hurt that someone would do that, especially after I have been so trusting.

I have a strong idea who it was (my neighbours 4 year old daughter), but I'm not a confrontational person and I really don't know what to do.

I'm not a major MLP collector but I generally don't bring anything MLP-related up unless it's brought up in conversation.

'Loud and Proud' here too, even more so since I started decorating my desk at work so extravagantly. I had a manager ask me if I could pull off a Mardi Gras theme last month and everyone jokes that we wouldn't know what time of year it is without the pony desk. The people I work with are really great about it, my family not so much. They all think its pretty weird, in particular my mom and sister, and are generally not supportive at all. My BF has been surprisingly cool about it all and often thrift store shops for me. His kids also love hunting, and his daughter thinks cleaning them is a blast!

Depends on the person, if it's someone who wouldn't understand I don't mention it. But, I am a horse girl, ride horses, collect horse things, so if I explain it that way I think it helps for people who can't understand the whole "grown up collecting toys" thing.

I have to hide my MLP fandom... and since I'm a male G1 fan, I even have to hide it from most of my brony friends! O_o

MLP collecting is big part of my daily life so I don't hide it. I'm proud to be a collector. :3

I don't tell people unwarranted, but it does come up in conversation and I certainly don't hide it. I keep the 2011 G4 McDonald's figures on my desk at work, and this year I handed out My Little Pony valentines to everyone in my department. Ponies feature prominently in my house, so anyone who comes over gets a pretty good idea of what I do in my spare time. I'm definitely not ashamed of it!

I'm like a lot of you, I don't go screaming I love ponies lol but when it comes up, I talk about it. I have coworkers who send me pictures of pony things and often ask me how my "rehabilitation" is coming along (restoring my old ones haha) and friends who pick them up for me when they see them! I have the calender up at my desk at work, I'd like to take some ponies but dunno who I'd take!

I don't shout it from the mountains. I tell a few who I think won't think me too weird for liking it. I think a couple of them find it weird anyway though. =P

I've never hidden it. Always told people(even if maybe a little sheepishly. haha). I tell everyone so that anyone I know who sees a pony will think of me.     Everyone at my work and around my work knows. One of our bank girls even had a bunch of G1s from her childhood she was going to put on display only to discover that her mom may have given them away! I felt so bad for her.

I wouldn't hide a piece of who I am. Well, there is more to me then ponies but you get what I'm sayin'.

If the topic comes up, yes I give that information out. I also have ponies plastered all over my work desk in one form or another. I'm considered the crazy pony lady at work. Kinda bugs me as I'm not crazy but * shrugs shoulders * If I'm not liked for who I am, or what I'm into then it's their loss.
