Hello all! So today is the official start to the arena auction. ^-^ I have decided to let Ice Crystal go in an attempt to raise funds for a family van. My husband and I are expecting our third baby in August and we're needing to upgrade our vehicle. I will run this auction for three weeks here. I do have a reserve price in mind, so if he doesn't reach it by the end of three weeks, I will move him over to eBay - though I'd really prefer to avoid that.

PaymentPayment is due within three days of the close of auction. All payments must be made through paypal for the buyer's protection. I will offer a payment plan as an option. Current offer - $400HistoryThailand Ice Crystal was purchased from a childhood owner on ebay.co.uk who also sold the Thailand Thundercloud. She lived in England, and said that she had received him as a child and had never taken his head off or anything like that. His original tail had fallen out (the metal fastener broke) and she used superglue to reglue the tail in place. When I received him, his head was secured on, though it looked as though as some point that it had been removed and replaced. The childhood owner said she didn't know - she received him like that.
Description -
Thailand Ice Crystal is such a handsome boy! Of the six Mountain Boy ponies, only four have been found to have variants produced from Thailand. As far as I know, there are 2 Fireballs, 1 Tornado, 1 Thundercloud, and 1 Ice Crystal. So, this is currently the only known Thailand Ice Crystal in the pony community.
Thai Icey differs from the Hong Kong version of Ice Crystal in many ways. Firstly, and most noticeably is his forest green stripe. Hong Kong Ice Crystal has a mint stripe, with an additional 7 plug holes made on the left side of his two rows of white for his stripe. However, Thailand Ice Crystal has a rich forest green stripe that is rooted through the two rows of white - there are no additional rows for his green stripe. Also, the dark green stripe is rooted through both sides of him name, and approximately 10-12 plugs long (the holes are so close together it's impossible to count). Noteworthy, is the fact that on the underside of his mane, at the bottom of the green stripe, there are a three plugs of dark blue that was started to be threaded through, but two of them are cut out at the base. Instead, two green plugs are rooted right by those holes in the middle of the two rows of hair (hope that makes sense
).
Secondly, another noticeable difference is that his back left hoof is clearly stamped "Thailand" rather than "Hong Kong"
And finally, he appears to be a touch taller than my Hong Kong Ice Crystal. It's ever so slight, but in some of the pictures, I noticed a different placement of the symbols, along with a difference in height.
ConditionMane - silky and lovely! Two of the three blue plugs are cut off at the base, replaced w/two green plugs. Looks factory done
Tail - Currently, I have put a replacement tail from Wigwam in Icey, though his original tail is included with him. (They are both identical though.) The original tail is still a mess, I'm trying to sort through the glue with acetone. His tail is not secured in place with a washer or ziptie, but it doesn't easily pull out when pulled on.
Eyes - Mint and glossy!
Symbol - Fabulous! No scuffs, paint missing or anything. Looks new
Body - On his face he has five, maybe 6 pindot mold spots. I have not tried to treat them - nor would I begin to know how. There is a faint scuff on his neck under his hairline, and a *very* light pink line under his DS freckles. Also, the glue on the neck seam is yellowing a little. And finally, his head is still loose, I have not glued it back on, assuming his new owner might want to look inside.
