Long Island Pony Meet???

So....there was a thread about a Long Island pony meet on the archived forum, but I think it was sort of forgotten since it was first started by Behemoth, I believe. And someone offered to have it at their fire house???

So any NYers out there still interested?? And as much as I would love a pony meet, I really have no idea where to have one, nor am I good at coordinating these things, LOL. I just figured I'd get the ball rolling again....

i'm right here! yeah the old thread kinda was forgotten about me and leegeta were discussing it up to a certain point then we havent talked about it again since.

i know leegeta is still around as i've seen her posting recently, so i'm sure she'll see this thread soon, and we can keep discussing details and the like

Im still here, been away for a lil handling some business but i still would love to do the meet, i had to wait till our parking lot for the firehouse was all finished which it's done, maybe sometime in May or April? i'd like to get everyone's opinion's first on what month would be the best to set up the meet =)

I agree Behemoth, May is a beautiful month and if we wanted to we can always go outside and BBQ at our gazebo =)

Here's how this would work, i can hold a pony meet in my company lounge, i could rent the hall since it's extremely huge but renting the hall is $150, i don't have the money to shell out $150 unless everyone would like to chip in. But our lounge is really nice, we have couches, tv's, a bar, a kitchen, computer so i personally think my company lounge would be a good time

If anyone is looking to rent a hotel, there are 2 hotels by the firehouse if you would like to stay over night, you can PM me for more details.

Anyone interested in attending please PM me so i can have a head count, also to exchange numbers since it's easier to contact me =) There will be tables to display your show off's, sales/trades, and plenty of beer so no need to worry 

And before i get the question asked, you are allowed to go on my fire engine and take pictures with whatever ponies you wish =)

I would be for a meet if we get enough people to chip in to rent someplace for the day.

But I don't know if I'm going to I-CON this year. It's expensive. =x

You can always volunteer, help out for a few hours and get in for free.  Volunteers can show up to start helping out Friday at noon (BEFORE the con starts) at SBU.

I like the idea of having it at your fire-house lounge Leegeta.  Which town are you in?  May also sounds good to me.

Bellevi, if i hold it in my lounge it's free, there's def enough room for everyone, i'll take some pictures later today for everyone to see =)

If anyone is bringing a lot of their ponies to show off or to sell and they can't bring it all in one shot, everyone is more then welcome to leave it at my house (i live less then a minute away from the firehouse)
