Hydrogen Peroxide Turned Sugarberry's Hair Gold!

So, so tempted to try this!   I have an extra, discoloured Sugarberry, and a bottle of expired (since 2007) hydrogen peroxide.   Not sure I have enough left in the bottle to cover the pony, though.   I also don't have much in the way of sunlight.

I wonder if it's the fact that it is expired peroxide or not...

I am tempted to try it with some that is not expired just to see what happens!

You could always just try enough to submerge the head and tail! Also my friend did not put her in the sunlight, so you don't have to worry about that!

I've been wanting to try the peroxide/sun method but now this scares me a little bit.

She looks really pretty, though! But at the same time she'd be easy to rehair if needed since Dollyhair has her exact match.

I mentioned earlier that I've done some attempts with peroxide/sunfading. I have yet to have any problems with it- of course I use non-expired peroxide! I think you should give it a try, maybe start on a baity pony or one that you plan to rehair or something along those lines if you're that worried. I've had some amazing results with it and this is the first time I've seen anything quite like this!

Yeah, I figured it doesn't happen that often.
I suppose I'll try it when I move back home.

That's so weird, I kinda like it, though, but I have no idea how that happened. O.O

I would expect that to happen because peroxide will turn even the darkest hair blonde.... especially pure peroxide... in fact I would have thought her hair would fall to pieces too!

I have to agree, I am amazed it did not make the hair brittle.  I would be careful to keep her out of the sun though now.  Did her tail go too?

Last tiem I used peroxide on a pony with hair attached, it did turn brittle and fall out. It was a cat pee pony I got in a bag at a thrift store not knowing it smelled like cat pee until I got home and opened the bag. I wouldn't recommend everybody jump up and try to recreate this. Its very pretty though and looks like perhaps Hasbro could have made a two toned pony on purpose.

It's too bad that it changed colour, but at least it changed to a very lovely colour~

it looks pretty good on her, reminds me of miss painter, but she has red manes and yellow tail
