I would expect that to happen because peroxide will turn even the darkest hair blonde.... especially pure peroxide... in fact I would have thought her hair would fall to pieces too!

maybe it had something to do with the "blue" dye part of the pink? Dark hot hair like sugar berry's red-pink has yellow red and blue in it. Maybe the red blue part is more easily damaged.I know with human hair blue and green pigments are always the quickest to wash out.
