How do you collect?
 
Do you collect variants of a certain pony? i do i collect mostly princess and starshine variants thought i do have moonstone, lofty and seashell collections too

I picked by country because I like to focus on completing sets. Of course, my collecting habits change from time to time since some sets are just so darn hard to complete.

By color or preferred variation. I am partial to yellow!

i collect by pose, collectors pose and shy pose. but i also do collect by country, i love italians

Tricky question!  I voted for "by pony" as I primarily collect TE variants.

I don't usually collect by country, though Greece and Brazil are the exceptions to that I have a friend in Brazil so that makes getting Brazilians easier, and Greek ponies are just so pretty overall

For the most part though, I collect just what catches my eye. I do love the trotting pose, Confetti, Bubbles, Moondancer and Glory, as well as TAF ponies

I used to collect Bow Ties and Windies but I sold most of them and now instead I go by country...Brazil [anything and everything...I love Brazilian ponies] and Argie & Peru babies....

The odd "extra" - such as Ladybird - sneaks in but mainly cause they are just so gorgeous!

I only buy G4 and G2s right now. I started with G2s since I've almost completed the G4 ponies.

since this is the nirvana forum its assumed that topics are about nirvana  ponies 
as far as i know there arent g4 and g2 nirvanas.... hmmm maybe there are... anyone know?

There is a G2 variant that might qualify actually Alternate Sea Breeze comes to mind, as I think she was sold with a playset in either Spain or Italy. I'm not sure about the other alternate haired ponies... I think they might just be general variants.

I think by forum definition Nirvanas are limited to G1's, even though there are variant ponies of other generations that are specific to certain regions.
