Nightlight/Nachtlicht and a "symbol" of my frustration

Every pony site seems to list the small symbol version of German Rainbow pony Nightlight as being more rare and therefore higher in price.


Why is it, then, that the small symbol version seems to be all that is showing up for sale on e-bay lately? I want the large symbol one, just because of personal preference! If she's more common, then where is she!!?

Oh....I kinda thought it was the other way round! But maybe its just "what you see when you are looking"....I found Nightlight in both forms easier to track down than either Raindrop...the large symbol Raindrop...now she was illusive

On an aside....Nightlight is perhaps one of the most unique G1s isnt she? Absolutely gorgeous...

I hope you track her down! Why dont you put a "want ad" in your siggy - sometimes that helps cause people on here are awesome and often if they know you are looking for something will point you in the right direction!

I think either form of Raindrop is more common than Nightlight. I have the large symbol Raindrop, I just like the large symbols better.

Yes, Nightlight is so beautiful and unique, I think she and Raindrop both are such "dark" counterparts to the US Rainbow Ponies that were all pastels.

And yes, I think that's a great suggestion, I'm going to re-do the wantlist in my signature after I finish this week's e-bay haul (retail therapy!)

It can go either way with German ponies But for one like Nightlight, it may work better in Nirvana

I've always considered the larger one marginally more common, but they do come in waves!

i too agree on the large symboled version being the more "common" variant to find, but as ladyg sai they can come in waves.

it would seem all the small symboled nightlights are coming out to play ... collecting can be so fickle!
