I got some ponies in yesterday that I had made for me (before I attemted customs myself). I have to say I am disapointed    with. Poor thing wasn't even rehaired and paint is in her roots very badly. Their is a piece of hair painted into her eye and she is very sticky had several dust particals stuck to her when I opened her up. Her paint shows through in some areas where she needed another coat of paint. I know I'm new to customizing but I wouldn't send a pony out sticky or this poorly painted and painted hair and actually Charge someone for it!
Any suggestions?
When update pics were sent, minty here was wrong to start with because I asked for green hair and was told she would re-hair her if I wanted. But I was okay with it because I then knew how frustrating re-rooting is, but come to find out...she wasn't even re-rooted to start with.
I'm a easy person to get along with, if they had things come up and couldn't fully complete the project, I would've understood. Not half way do something and take my money. The pictures that were sent to me no way resembled this poor condtion of the pony.

Have you gone back to the person to try and clear things up at all?? Just see what they say and if there were issues they didnt let you know about?

It is hopefully a case of crossed wires.  I would politely contact the artist with your photos and concerns.  Are you wanting a refund or repairs?  It can help to know ahead of time what you believe would be a fair outcome in your opinion and to request it.  That will help the artist decide what to do next as well.

sorry to hear you were disappointed   I'm glad to hear that you and the artist are working things out though - you did the right thing contacting her   Please let us know how things go
