R.I.P. Whitney Houston
« on: February 12, 2012, 08:26:41 AM »
I just heart the sad news that singer Whitney Houston has died! Very sad and too young. Not a huge fan myself but loved "I Will Always Love You". My thoughts are with her family and friends right now. Is here any fans on here?

I was utterly shocked when I found out on Yahoo last night. She had an amazing voice and talent. It's a shame she's gone so soon. =/ I wonder what happened.

So sad the downward spiral she went on in later years.  She was sublimely talented, and will be greatly missed.

Indeed, sad news... Her 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack is truly amazing!

Too young, sad for her little girl, and I especially feel sad for her about the drug addiction she couldn't really defeat...  It makes you wonder about that importance of popularity that so many people desperately dream of - thinking it will 'better' there lives.

Let's teach our kids the true meaning of life, shall we?

One can only hope that she's in a better place, free of pain.

I was shocked when I came onto Yahoo last night only to read the breaking news about her death. My parents were shocked when I told them, and I didn't even knew that she had problems abusing drugs until I read the article about her death.

RIP, Whitney Houston. You'll be sadly missed.

I don't really care. Death is tragic but it's not like I knew her.

stopxmotion- I think that it is very rude of you to come into a topic and say I don't care. You may not know her but a little compassion will go a long way. Think about something before you say it. She was a human being.
Personal I'd be a bit embarrassed to come into a topic and say that I didn't care.

She will be missed!! She was an amazing singer!!
She will be remember more for her drug and alcohol use then her amazing voice though.

I didn't realize how many of her songs I liked until I saw some old videos on Vh-1 today. She inspired so many singers. And I remember when she was on SNL years ago, great sketch.  R.I.p.

Last year it was Amy Winehouse and Elizabeth Taylor, this year Etta James and Whitney Huston,
God must be putting on a hell of a show up there..

All my respect to these awesome divas, Rest In Peace.

Meh if stopmotion doesn't care they don't care. They're entitled to their opinion and are allowed to state it.  Myself, I'm very sad she's gone. I absolutely dispise when amazing talent gets cut off at its prime. She was a phenomenal performer who inspired me to start singing in a more serious capacity. She is a huge loss to the musical community.

this is sad indeed to her what i find sand is that she had it all and yet it was not enough.  To have all that and still have an empty heart.

I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just stated my opinion on the topic at hand. I don't see why it's so terrible to not feel anything about her death. She is not a friend or family member, or anyone I ever spoke to even. I don't mourn the loss of millions of other strangers who die. To me, a celebrity is no different. Sorry.*backs out of thread*

I remember her songs as a young teenager. Her music has inspired me in the low tides of my life. And has captured my emotions at other times,as if they were written from me. She will be missed!
