Have a pony cleaning question

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I bought a Speedy off trademe with some marks. Other than that she is in good condition.

Her biggest flaw is a previous owner has 'branded' her with the letter 'J' in black ballpoint (I think) on each side.

I just wonder if there's anything that I can do to get rid of the marks? Or if there's a type of cleaner I can use that won't damage her. Thank you.

Sadly ballpoint pen does not come off easily. You will need to sunfade the pen away.

Is it on the symbol?
If not you could try giving the pony a scrub on the marks with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. You just can't use it around the symbols or eyes because it can rub them off. If that doesn't work you could carefully take a tiny bit of acetone and rub it on the pen marks. Again, you do not want to do this on the symbols, it could completely remove them!

If that doesn't work or the mark is on the symbols then I think sunfading would be your best bet.

Sometimes I'm able to get most ball point pen off with Acetone. Or if it's on the symbol 70% alcohol. That won't remove your average flat symbol paint, even with heavy scrubbing. But if you notice the pen is kinda fuzzy on the edges, that means it's seeped into the plastic, so you'll need to sunfade it. Usually stray marks tend to come out but deliberately drawn on ones are the ones that tend to bleed in most cases I've seen sofar. n_n

Thanks for your suggestions. The pen is on her stomach away from her symbol. I will try your suggestions and see how she goes. She is in good condition otherwise, her eyes even still twinkle. It would be sad if she couldn't have a place in the herd.
