Yes, when I first saw that picture I'd hoped they'd use both those cutie marks. Especially, since tools would be a good theme that hasn't been covered in the mlp line. Maybe they'll put them on the boys when they begin releasing them (I don't think Hasbro would dare put them on a GIRL. They're not even PINK after all!). I won't hold my breath.. but it'd be cool.
I personally love the color scheme and the cutie marks and would definitely buy both if they were made into brushables. Ponyville could use some engineering and construction ponies. They have houses, shops, and other buildings after all.
