Blind bag surprise?

I think the surprise is fun but I would like to know where the numbers are on the bags. Can anyone help me out with that?

The number is embossed inside the bag seam on the back, near to the hole punched to hang the bag, just open the seam (unfold it, as opposed to opening the bag) and check the number. Be sure to look carefully as some numbers can look very similar (eg 5 looks a lot like 3 and 8)

I like surprises, buuuut.....since the mane 6 are packaged in with the rest, and I really can't afford/don't want doubles, I check who I'm getting first. I want to collect all of them anyway, so when I found them I checked the numbers to make sure I wasn't buying any of the mane 6, and then when I opened them I opened them without looking at the numbers, so it was still sort of a surprise I'm only missing one from the first wave now though, so number-checking is pretty necessary at this point

I don't like buying the MLP ones blind, but I do with the Filly Princess blind bag figures. Of course, those aren't numbered, either so it's not like I have a choice. I really can't afford to buy tons, and I hate getting duplicates, but like with the Filly Princess figures, it was really nice getting the rare (Princess Crystal) out of the bag because I totally wasn't expecting it.

I see. I think the difference is that most people want to get the whole collection, where I'd be happy with a just a couple. And I don't really care which ones I get cause I pretty much like them all.

I loved the surprise of getting the G3.5 ones at random, it was so exciting to find the special ones when I was not expecting to.
