I want a my little pony cutie mark tattoo...

NightWing - I share your unemployed pain... Waaaay back before I got the moon on my back, my tattoo artist just put up a couple of  FF Blossoms flowers on my hip, but I didn't like it. I had thought it'd look prettier. I then discarded the idea and got a pony on my thigh instead.

I'd get one. It would have to be an original cutie mark though, not one from a Hasbro pony.. Although then I'm not sure what would make it a cutie mark, aside from location.
I already have a tattoo on my lower stomach which kinda goes out to my hip. My opposite hip is empty though. Hmm..

i want to get my pony persona on me, but i know my boyfriend would never go for it. he flipped his lid on my first tattoo, and it made matters worse when he found out i went and got 2 more LOL! i had to have all 3 of my bunnies on my leg though. i couldn't just have one. but i want a pony on my shoulder.

One thing to think about is whether or not you will ALWAYS love ponies and your tattoo.  It's a fun idea, but you should get it done because it means something special to you.  If ponies are a new love of yours, I think it would be smart to wait a bit and make sure that you will always love them.  I feel like there will be a lot of people getting rainbow lightning bolts lasered off their butts in 10 years because they got swept away with the pony craze and didn't think before getting the ink (ha, I'm such a poet).  I'm not saying that this applies to you, but it's something to think about.  With my LF tattoo, I'm planning on waiting a while still.  Possibly getting it when I hit the 5-year mark as an official "collector"

I wouldn't get a tattoo on my hip (don't want it to stretch out if I gain weight, which I suppose is more or less inevitable eventually), but I eventually have plans to get Little Flitter's hummingbird on my wrist.  But I want to have a real job first and can't afford to have visible tattoos, just in case.

This! I would never get a tattoo on my hip. But I am thinking about getting Squirmy's snail symbol on my wrist. The only reason why I haven't done it yet is that it wouldn't match my other tattoos in any way...

My worry about tattoos is in direct contraction to them - I wouldnt want one because they are permanent! [kinda defeating the purpose if you see what you mean plus I am a coward which also would not help].

So to sum it up if they removed themselves say after a year or so and didnt hurt too much, I would go with it and have a Baby Fifi somewhere but....but if I feel out of love with ponies for any reason [shock horror] at some point in the future thats a pretty permanent reminder....

I love the idea of getting a cutie mark tattoo!  I don't know that I would ever get one but I've always thought about getting one.  I mentioned it to my husband one time, thinking he would think it would be sexy for me to have a tattoo at all, but he had the oppisite reaction!  He didn't think I should mark up my body...     I was sooo surprised especially since he has a tattoo himself!  I had always thought it would be cute to have one on my lower stomach, like right above where my jeans ride, but after having my 2 kids I don't think its such a good idea anymore!!

I always wanted a tattoo but I am very sensitive to metals - so I would probably have a terrible reaction to the ink.    LOTS of people have MLP tattoos though - search the forum for lots of examples.

Actually I got my tattoo before I had my son, this is one of the reasons I got it so low on my hip.  I found that the skin closer to my hip bone really didn't stretch as much as higher on the belly.  I carried him kind of high though.  But the tattoo is no warped.

i would love one if i wasn't so dang indecisive! i think a great (and natural!) alternative is henna! granted, your symbol would be brown ( a lovely brown), but it's temporary and you could be a different pony every week. i actually may have to run by hobby lobby and get some henna now!

I've not seen cutie marks but I've seen quite a few really nice pony tattoos, I know someone who I think is a member here has a big sleeve based off the G1 cartoon and it looks gorgeous.

I'm not a tattoo person myself, but I do love the thought of having Honeycomb's symbol somewhere. I'm a sucker for bees

I'd never be able to get a tattoo, especially not something like a pony, because every few years I start to lose interest in my current hobby and move on to something else for a while But I do remember that there was a girl here who had a really adorable MLP tattoo. She actually had several tattoos (I think she had some flutter ponies, and the unicorn from TLU) but the one I really liked was a little sleeping baby Moondancer that I think she had somewhere near her hip. It was small, out of the way, and totally adorable. I think the only actual cutie mark tattoo I've seen, though, is the girl with Rainbow Dash's mark down her leg. I hope she likes FiM for a really long time
