I've been to Salt Lake, but I don't really know a lot of the places down there. :silly: Except for, like, Temple Square. So I'm probably not much help.

I am so glad you guys want to do a meet. I was thinking of planning one here soon. I would prefer somewhere here in salt lake on a weekend.
Any thoughts on where to meet? Restraunt or were you guys thinking something else?
I would be happy to help plan or make reservations. I planned one of the last meets.
Nice to see a few new collectors around here.
Just let me know how I can help!

I restaurant would be fun, as long as it's kid friendly and had room to bring ponies and stuff.

Does April 14th sound okay to you too?  That seems to be working for a few of us.  It's a weekend.  Also, maybe the weather will be nice at that point and we can meet at a park and have lite picnic?

Well, we did one meetup at TGIFridays and then I think the last one we had someone offered up their backyard and we did potluck. A park might be a good idea. I work Saturdays till 2pm usually - so I don't know what time would work for everyone else.

Park would be ok if the weather is nice. If you guys wanted to do a potluck that would work. I could reserve a park pavilion if you guys wanted me to. Then we could have power and tables. I could then make sure you all get maps so you dont get lost.

If we wanted to do a restraunt I can make sure we have enough space reserved. If you guys had certian foods you want or budget I am sure I can find us something good.

I know salt lake pretty well so I would be happy to help with booking a location for us.

I was the one that did the meet at TGIFridays. It was a ton of fun.

As far as the date that should be fine for me.

Okay so I propose:

April 14th, 2PM
at a SLC park, weather permitting, otherwise TGI-Fridays as a backup.

CrystalSnowflake, what parks would be nice for bringing out pony stuff?  I went to a meetup at Liberty Park last year that was nice.

I've got to chime in that if you want to do a park, April 14th is not a good day.  We should all know better than to trust spring weather here at this point!  If you'll recall, last year at that time, it was still snowing and below freezing much of the time.  Even in a typical year, April doesn't tend to be warm enough for a multi-hour activity outside like that.  The date is fine for me, but I really think it needs to be inside since we can't foresee the weather forecast two months in the future.

Well we could maybe look at Planet Play down in Draper. I don't know what size group we're looking at, but they have a pizza buffet and then you can always buy a game card/credit for the attractions/video games. It's a pretty decent size  place and off  1-15 so easy for everyone to get to.
We've been there a few times and they have party rooms. No idea what it might cost to reserve/use it though.

You're awesome Crystal :)

i just think if we do have families/kids - we will need space for them to run around. Heaven knows my kids are likely to want to run around. *lol*

I'd be bringing one kid too, so definitely a place with a little room for running around. This sounds like it's going to be so much fun! And my first pony meet ever!
Thanks devonshireRed for the avi!

Regardless of the start time its bound to be several hours at least. What time do you think you could come?

Yeah, a bunch of us have kids these days and my husband will have to drive me (which means the kids come too), so a family friendly place is a must.  I have no preferences beyond that since it's all a long drive from Ogden.  The difference between 45 minutes of driving and 50 isn't enough to matter.  Maybe something with one of those rooms you can reserve for parties?  Nicer for both us and the other patrons that way if we're not in the big fat middle of everything.  Crystal, know of anything with a banquet room like that?
