Pony artists, is your art being sold on Etsy?

I hate the way that people think GIS is just a resource for free stock images, whether it's fanart or not someone worked hard to make those artworks and to just take them, without permission, to make money for yourself is really rude and selfish.

hmm...well they've taken down all the the MLP items, but not the other things where I also see stolen art....you know, everything else they have for sale!

I was just popping back into to say all the MLP artwork is now gone. I've never seen Etsy react so quickly to reports. If you know any of the artists of any of the other artwork in that shop, spread the word to them. As an artist myself, I too hate art theft. Later pony peeps!:)

I reported them again and commented that the art is copyrightred in many cases.  Hopefully they will take it down too.

I think the seller took the listings down herself, based on what another artist who was contacted by the seller told me. Which makes me concerned about seeing the other non-pony listings ever removed. I recognize a lot of the Sonic fanart, but I only know the artist for one.

I hope I'm wrong though.

The MLP art was taken down, but pretty much that entire shop is stolen art.

I am very disappointed, I really thought Esty was more for "homemade" goods not just reusing other folks art/photos to make mouse pads and Valentines.

Well I reported the entire shop as "not handmade," and I know Etsy can't get to all the reports immediately, so maybe there's hope.

Wow. I hate how so many people are doing this now. It's just wrong on so many levels... Makes me kinda glad my only real skill is pixel art, I'd feel so upset if someone tried to make money using something I made personally like that :/

Good job all of you who reported that, and for spotting it. Ripping off other people's work like that is disgusting. I've come into this thread a little late, so didn't see what was up there, but had some of the work been mine, I would have been utterly furious. I hope no-one's been too badly affected by this.


It's very sad. I think a lot of people display their work here, and in other places, in good faith that others will respect copyright. Just take one bad egg, doesn't it.

Thanks for sharing this with the community.  I have updated the Bad Trader List with this "seller". 

Absolutely disgusting that people would do such a thing!
